OUTBREAK UPDATE: Do not eat, serve, or sell Maradol papaya labeled Frutas Selectas de Tijuana. They’re linked to illnesses (Salmonella Anatum). Most infected people develop diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps 12 to 17 hours after getting infected. However, more serious illnesses can occur, particularly in children under 5, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions.
