ALERT: Do not eat Explorateur, Explorateur French Triple Crème Cheese, or Explorateur Triple Crème French Cheese, in 8-ounce clear plastic marked with sell by dates 02/15/2018 through 04/03/2018, sold in Whole Foods stores in Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Texas. This cream cheese could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a germ causing a serious, sometimes fatal illness in young children, frail and elderly people, and those with chronic health conditions (weakened immune systems). The germ can cause pregnant women to lose their babies. Healthy people who become infected usually experience only short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, and diarrhea. PECAN ALLERGY ALERT: German chocolate cakes labeled “Schnucks Bakery Deluxe Petite Cake Chocolate Iced Yellow” contain pecans not listed on the label. People allergic to pecans risk serious or life-threatening reactions if they eat these cakes, packaged in clear plastic and sold in Schnucks stores in Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri.
