SAFETY ALERT: FDA is advising consumers, tattoo artists & retailers to avoid using/selling 6 recalled tattoo inks contaminated w/ bacteria that can cause infections & lead to serious health injuries when injected into the skin during a tattooing procedure. Consumers should ask their tattoo artist or studio about the tattoo inks they use and avoid the recalled tattoo inks. The FDA will continue to work with manufacturers & retailers to remove contaminated products from the market.

OUTBREAK UPDATE: U.S. FDA & CDC continue the investigation of a multi-state outbreak of Salmonella Adelaide illnesses that may be linked to cut melons. As of today, CDC reports that there are 70 cases in seven states with 34 hospitalizations. Illnesses occurred from April 30, 2018, to June 3, 2018. Ill people range in age from less than 1 year to 97. No deaths have been reported. Check your refrigerator for pre-cut melon, especially if purchased in GA, IA, IL, KY, MI, MO, NC, & OH, it may be linked to Salmonella #outbreak. Throw away or return to place of purchase.
