ALERT: Do not eat Explorateur, Explorateur French Triple Crème Cheese, or Explorateur Triple Crème French Cheese, in 8-ounce clear plastic marked with sell by dates 02/15/2018 through 04/03/2018, sold in Whole Foods stores in Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, and Texas. This cream cheese could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a germ causing a serious, sometimes fatal illness in young children, frail and elderly people, and those with chronic health conditions (weakened immune systems). The germ can cause pregnant women to lose their babies. Healthy people who become infected usually experience only short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, and diarrhea. OUTBREAK ALERT: FDA investigates multiple salmonella infections linked to frozen shredded coconut. Do not eat, serve, or sell Coconut Tree Brand Shredded Coconut (frozen). This product is linked to illnesses (salmonellosis) in 9 states. To prevent cross contamination, wash and sanitize freezers, and any surfaces where you may have stored and placed the coconut.
